Sports Taping Course - Edinburgh

The one day workshop covers all of the key techniques associated with sports taping using rigid and semi-rigid tape.


These are essential skills for any therapist looking to play an active role in the management of sports injuries and many musculoskeletal conditions. In addition to having the skills to tape sports injuries there are also techniques taught that will help to re-educate poor posture and the problems that are associated with it.

The skills gained will help employment opportunities within sport and also the private sector. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and a set of electronic notes with technique videos embedded in them which is an invaluable learning tool to refer back to once the course is complete.


Over the course of the day, we will cover the following:

  • Plantar fascia

  • Lateral ankle

  • Achilles tendon

  • Calf muscle

  • MCL

  • Patella tendon

  • Patella instability

  • Patella maltracking

  • Lumbar spine unloading

  • Lumbar spine fixation

  • Shoulder retraction

  • Shoulder unloading

  • Elbow hyperextension

  • ‘Tennis elbow’

  • Wrist

  • Thumb

  • Fingers.
